'a Letter for You'

A Postcard in the post with my favourite nature photo of the month

These days almost everything is social media based, you have emails, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, blogs, vlogs etc. A Postcard in the post is not something you experience very often at all. I felt that it would be a lovely idea to create a platform where anyone can sign up for a monthly Postcard with a photo and a story from my walks and adventures.

I understand that this puts a little bit more strain on the environment, but I believe everything is about balance. The importance is the feeling of receiving a Postcard in the post, it is like a gift of time for yourself. A time to put the kettle on, have a cup of tea, sit back and read. You can hold it, feel it and sense it by having it delivered to you at your door/letterbox.

The Postcard will be sent at the end of each month. The photos can be framed and/or be kept in an album.

When ordering straight from my shop the prices and options are shown to the right.
Postcards are available in English & Swedish.

My monthly Postcard anywhere in the world:
3 months for £11
6 months for £22
12 months for £44

This can also be a lovely gift for you to give as a present for your family, friends and co-workers. Especially for everyone who doesn’t get on too well with technology.

History of  'a Letter for You'

An idea came to me from what life throws at you combined with memories. In 2018 I was moving home and when I was packing the boxes, I found all the cards and letters I sent to my late grandmother in Sweden when I first moved to England in the 90s. She had collected them all and when she passed away in 2004 my dad gave them all back to me and I now have with all the memories.
This made me think how much I really enjoyed writing to her and sending her the card/letters and how much she loved receiving them, hearing about what I had been up to and see photos of this too. I remember my cousins saying how much they enjoyed visiting her and reading my cards and letters too.

I thought, why not take this to a much larger scale and be that someone for many people in the UK, Sweden and around the world.

I will be your postcard friend; I wish to share my favourite photo each month and a story about it with you who is open to hear. I also know that many are living on their own, loneliness can be challenging and isolating. I hope this will give you warmth and a feeling of earth togetherness. This is also a way for me to share natures positivity and to reach out to others in a more old-fashioned way.

I love being outdoors in nature watching the wildlife, add the sea, a river or a lake and I feel so connected. Another thing I have discovered is, when I am outdoors, I don’t feel alone, I feel part of the earth itself. The love from the land beneath my feet, from the scent of a flower, the breeze in the trees and the waves coming to shore are so deep and beautiful. My sense of emptiness just blows away with the wind, burns away by the sun, fly's away with the song of the twittering birds and washes away by the water.
I wish to share this with you and give you a feeling of being there too.

I believe I got a bit lost through life from my nature roots, my connection to the earth and my heart has now found it again.
I hope this will bring light, joy and pleasure to many of you.

“A day in not a day without some fresh air in my hair, the earth beneath my feet and a bird tweeting for a treat.”
